27 Years and Counting...

Well this weekend marked by 27th birthday. Hard to believe if you look at me; I still get carded for cigarettes and spray paint. I had a fantastic day at work Friday (my actual birth date). Kohl, Ashley and Alison all were so sweet and bought me this adorable red polka dotted dress I've had my eye on for some time, plus a baby blue blazer which is so cute. I wore the dress out Friday night to go to a local karaoke bar. Wish I had some photos, but unfortunately no one was able to take decent photos that night for some reason. We had a great time listening to people karaoke-ing who clearly did not care how they sounded . . . . including two guys singing a love song together. Hey, I'm not here to judge...
Sorry for the poor photos, just snapped a few before I changed to go out.

do you love working at forever 21?

I do! It is definitely stressful at times (well, most of the time, lol) but I love that I get to be creative...and I get to style people A LOT! Overall it's great :)

Hi! I love the photos on your blog. I'm in the process of writing a post on how bloggers' partners/husbands/bfs etc. help them out with their blogs. Who snaps your shots?Thx!Rituhttp://thestylester.com

Hi Ritu! Thanks so much for the comments! Actually my friend Kohl was taking my photos, but recently I've been taking them myself. I edit all the photos myself...I've gotten pretty good at it, lol. My favorite is the photos from my recent post "Into the Darkness of the Woods" because I'm in my backyard, but I made it look like I was in a forest! Thanks for the question :)

Down the Rabbit Hole

Today is the release of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. I personally cannot wait to see this, as the stunning imagery already has me captivated simply from the previews. I imagine it will be quite a trip to watch. These photos from Vogue were shot by the amazingly talented Annie Leibovitch.

Call of the Wild

Sorry haven't posted for a couple days... but here's my outfit from the other day. Very casual, but comfortable. Love leopard print in case you couldn't tell.

Yesterday was my 3rd wedding anniversary! Mike and I have been together for 6 years altogether, although it feels like much longer at times. Unfortunately, I had to work, so we didn't get to go all out, be we had a very nice night regardless. We ate pizza and drank beer, then curled up in bed and watched "Public Enemies" (with Johnny Depp, who never seems to age). He bought me a dozen roses and a card which was very sweet. Here is one of our wedding photos (and my dress of course!).

Into The Darkness of the Woods

I've been a bit apathetic lately about posting outfits . . . blame it on the constantly changing weather. I was thrilled when Sunday dawned nice and warm, thinking that perhaps FINALLY the gray of winter had finally been colorized with the warm palette of spring. But sadly, I was mistaken again as today was dreary and cold and the prediction for the rest of the week has me bundled up in coats and sweaters. Don't get me wrong, I love winter dearly, however, the weather also affects my moods, so if it is gloomy outside, it makes me drag about at work. I've been waiting for the weather to be that perfect temperature where you can wear skirts and blouses and tights and perhaps a light sweater, without being too hot and cold. I'll give it another couple weeks before I drag that groundhog out of the hole. I'm simply being impatient, as I know spring is usually a little further away.
